The Hungry Monkey - Newport

This is one of my favorite places in newport, and I always try to make it a point when I am there. the breakfast menu is extensive and the coffee is amazing. I was so surprised to find a place that makes cookies and gravy (better than my southern grandmother)

A must try....and then back! I chose the hungry monkey based on the reviews here and I'm glad I did it! the place has a fun and invites in the atmosphere. I have the filled monkey-brot French toast and a side of the home. the French toast came out when 3 thick slices of French toast stacked with sweetened cream cheese and intercuted apples. it was perfect. the homefries were small in comparison, but it was still a good amount. both were very good and very full. on the chalkboard wall I believe they have listed their special areas. one of them was a reuben omelette and another was a buffalo chicken cheese grilled! the hungry monkey is just one of those places they need...read more

Great breakfast! I had broken into hungry monkey this morning; I had rührei, speck, hashbrowns toast, my wife had a spicy monkey burrito. we share a monkey beacon zimt roll - eating was great, and the staff was friendly.

This is a great place to sit down for brunch! Here, small town diner meets urban flair. The staff is friendly and the menu has a mix of traditional and creative choices something for everyone. If that's not enough, the low prices ought to do it for you.
