Coombe Cellars Newton Abbot

My first visit to Coombe Cellars was amazing. I usually don't have high expectations for restaurants since they often can't meet my needs. It's hard to find a place that offers healthy, plant-based options. I was thrilled with the nourish bowl, and I will definitely be returning. Now I have two places where I can enjoy dining out! Yes!!

This is a wonderful location to relax with a drink outdoors by the estuary. The access roads can be quite narrow, making driving a bit challenging. The food is delicious, although the gluten-free choices are somewhat limited. There is free parking available, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a delightful place to visit during the summer!

I went for a birthday lunch at 12:30 on Saturday. Our online reservation was waiting for us, and we were delighted to find the window seat we had requested. The staff were excellent, and the food and drinks were wonderful—particularly the flavored tonic on tap. The views were stunning. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

The food was mediocre, and the service was extremely slow. We weren't offered any discounts, drinks, or snacks while we waited. Even though we only ordered main courses, it took almost two hours for our food to be served. The chips were undercooked, the goat cheese lacked flavor and was poorly presented, and the roast potatoes and vegetables accompanying the sea bass were cold. Overall, I was quite disappointed and won't be coming back. The cost per person ranged from £30 to £40.

The food took a little while to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Amber provided outstanding service. I will definitely be returning.
