Avaliação da contribuiçãoIt was nice to see a vegan section in the menu! The order made easier as they know what is vegan, but it was not comprehensive and we had to ask about the bread, salads, etc. Unlike the previous review, they said that their naan can't be made vegan... but the Dal was very good. Overall, we really enjoyed the food, although the service is slow and wrong.
My girlfriend and I were visiting Niagara Falls and were in search of a restaurant that offered vegan options. We were disappointed with the two Indian restaurants on the main strip and thought we were out of luck until we stumbled upon this hidden gem just a few blocks away. We ordered the ginger cauliflower and eggplant dishes along with plain rice and non-buttered naan, which the server confirmed was milk-free. The food was delicious, authentic, and we were thrilled to have found this place. Highly recommended.
The restaurant offers a variety of vegan main dishes that do not come with rice, so you will need to order a side of rice for an additional cost. The food was tasty but quite spicy. The portion sizes were generous, and they provide free tap water. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's worth noting that the saffron rice is not vegan, as confirmed by a well-informed waitress.
I was pleased to find a vegan section on the menu which made ordering easier since the staff understood what vegan means. However, the vegan options were not very extensive and we had to inquire about items like bread and salads. Despite being told that the naan bread couldn't be made vegan, we found the dal to be delicious. Overall, we enjoyed the food, although the service was slow and there were some mistakes.
This was our first time trying Indian cuisine and we were very impressed with the food. Just a heads up for those who are sensitive to spice, even the mild dishes had some heat to them. However, everything was absolutely delicious!
