It's in avenue Republique in Nice city near Acropoly Tram Stop. Good for a genuine lunch or a Full French dinner. Location is Very nice and a perfect menu of the day that Changes every day: more choices!
We are in Nice at the moment for a short break,We sat down at the Bistro Del Mare the night before for a beer & a glass of wine to watch the world go by And the food looked and smelled so good that we went back tonight.It is a small place and it was quite busy so we waited outside while a table became vacant,Thank goodness that we did as the food and attentive service were second to none.All the dishes were freshly prepared by the owner while his wife was in charge of front of house.Truly superb!!
A simple bistro but with a real chef using top-quality products
Chef/Proprietor we think - certainly just him - took the order - did the cooking and talked the talk! Excellent steak and mouthwatering Sole Meuniere.
There was nobody in the restaurant when we passed by but with a descent restaurant setting in an un-exciting part of Nice, we took the risk. We are here for a hockey tournament and it's just round the corner from the rink. We are very glad we did. The best food we have had in Nice. Very fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, everything was home made and the menu was interesting and not silly prices. The chef also owns the restaurant We sat down to eat at 1430 and we were his first clients of the day. He's just opened this restaurant and it is definitely worth walking out of Nice old town or seafront to eat something really good. First course was a tomato and mozerella salad, but no ordinary salad, it was beautifully presented with Morzerella that was so fresh and creamy, it totally melted in your mouth, fresh young basil and a good light olive oil. Main course, I had a salmon salad with raw vegetables- again, very fresh and delicious flavors. My husband had fillet of sole and daughter a beef carpaccio with wild rocket and parmasen shavings. A great light lunch and we left feeling very satisfied and not at all ripped off. A great place and if he was 300m nearer the sea you would pay triple and he would be rammed to the rafters! Thank you and I hope that you get lots of guests for you to look after. I wish we had found you at the start of the tournament.
