Gasthof Roter Lowe - Nördlingen

A quaint little restaurant that's part of an 8-bed hotel, they were happy to be hosts to visiting Americans looking for authentic local cuisine. The simple veal schnitzel w/ potato salad was the best we've had on our visit to Germany/Austria, and I've sampled a...few so far, from Salzburg to Munich. A good meal at a good price in a pleasant dining room. What more could a wandering tourist want?

The gastronomy lies picturesquely on the city wall. the beautiful design with the extraordinary name invited us to return. we were very welcome and served immediately. the recommended carvings were traditionally roasted in the pan, the potato salad was homemade and as delicious as the late zle. Conclusion: we have eaten very well for little money and drank and like to return.

Very simple but authentic guestroom. this time, we had only a small meanwhile; last year we have eaten in the small beer garden directly on the city wall but really great carvings and maul bags.The wetin is far over eighty years old and totally funny (is since over sixty wetin).
