Small's Smokehouse Oyster - Norfolk

Yesterday was my first visit to this beautiful restaurant. We've tried to come here a couple of times before, but they were closed on those days. However, yesterday was the day! I've enjoyed oysters for many years, so my partner Chris and I were excited to try their famous oyster stone. I can honestly say it was excellent; it was by far the best oyster experience I've had, with plenty of large ones served in the stew. If you love oysters, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I've also heard that their smoked menu is fantastic!

Every time I visit this restaurant, I’m consistently impressed. I haven’t experienced it during their busiest nights, so I can’t speak to how they handle that. However, each time I’ve gone during the day, the staff has been professional, and the food has always been outstanding and full of flavor. I also really enjoy their coconut cake!

I absolutely love this place! Although the location isn't ideal, the food is simply delicious. When I returned later on, my server was fantastic. I tried the blackened catfish, sautéed greens, and smoked wings. All I can say is wow! Everything was outstanding!

So this summer my husband and I challenge us to try different places in Norfolk instead of going to the same old spots again and again. Omg let me say that I am so glad that we ran over this place it definitely be a place that we return too often. We came and were greeted by Austin, who his mind and smile was so a joy I asked if we could sit on the terrace to enjoy the summer night and he was glad to help us, it was absolutely beautiful in the back the lighting and plants just beautiful!!!! BUT THE FOOD O .M G JUST DELICIOUS and the drinks were AMAZING!!!! I have no idea how I grew up in Norfolk and this is the first time that I have ever been to this place

It was totally worth it though. their home grown oysters were pretty large. we also ordered their buffalo chicken dip appetizer and it was good. the chip to dip ratio was way off. there was a lot of dip but barely any chips. for our entree, i got the ribs and my boyfriend got the oyster angel pasta. i thought the ribs were pretty dry and tough to cut through. the pasta was good. no complaints. the bread that comes on the side weren't very good.
