Dalton's - North Branford

We have never rated any place 5 stars but Dalton's is one of only several that comes very close to 5 stars. Certainly 4.5. We have never had a meal we did not enjoy. Very comfortable atmosphere, and mostly good service. No place is perfect when it is busy. I do recommend this place for a nice meal. We both have restaurant work history as well as plenty of dining history. They bring you bread and a small salad of greens before your entrée by the way. Delicious!

Food score would have been higher except that mashed potato doesn't belong on the same plate as veal picata an old Italian's opinion) and the medallions of veal could have been pounded thinner more Italian style). But the veals taste was very good and without viens. It was Mothers day so perhaps this made a difference.

Unbelievable service, unbelievable food.. this place is such a gem .

Great food, great atmosphere, definitely recommend. First time there, but it won't be the last.

Not sure why but we hadn't been here in years. Last night's dinner was fantastic in terms of the staff, the food, the service, the environment, everything. Definitely will be back on a more regular basis. Cannot recommend the food quality enough.
