House Of Platters - North Haledon

Drive out here from edgewater and it 's closed. It 's 830 pm and the sign in the window states new hours till 10pm but the lights are off and the door is locked . Oh well another time maybe.

Haledon has a good amount of Halal food. I don't think I've ever had a platter that I didn't like. I have heard people rave about their specific spot that they go to. I've never really noticed much of a distinction between the different restaurants. The only distinction I have noticed is the care taken in making something, price, portion size, service and that type of thing. Is my gyro going to fall apart? I also was never into the salad that you get in a platter. I've tried the food here a couple times and I have nothing negative to say. I have no complaints, and believe me I enjoy complaining. I actually enjoyed the salad, the olives and thinly sliced tomatoes were a very nice touch. The chicken tasted exactly the same as all the other chicken platters I've had, and so did the rice. The prices are very reasonable and they have a great selection. I always appreciate a to go order that doesn't use styrofoam or a lot of plastic. What really puts this place above others, is the kindness of the owner. Please try the food here and support this great man during this difficult time.

Good but not great. The place is nice and clean and the owner was very friendly. The food was just average and noting to brag about. Not the place to drive out of your way to get food.

This spot is absolutely amazing. The women that work in there make incredible food and always are working extremely hard. My family and I love house of platters!

This place has a new number 973-689-7770 Great burgers, great halal platters. Good prices. Been going here for over 3 years and have never had a bad meal.
