Avaliação da contribuiçãoCame here for dinner as a party of 3, service was slightly slow as only 1 person seemed able to take orders despite several staff on duty. Food was very good and decent value for money, all staff were friendly so would happily return and recommend
I really don’t like to say bad things about this restaurant but I feel in this instance I must.I have visited occasionally over time and been quite satisfied with both the service and the food but on our last visit I had to go to the toilet and because of COVID restrictions I had to wait till the toilet became vacant..When the door opened a member of the kitchen staff emerged an walked straight past the sanitising point and into the kitchen.I did my toilet and turned to wash my hands,was shocked to see a perfectly dry sink and no wet towels in bin.Evidently the person before me had walked out without washing up.I’m afraid I will not be returning to this restaurant until hygiene procedures are seriously looked at
I really hate to do this but being a frequent restaurant diner i feel the need to write this review .. went in to restaurant nobody came to see us or speak to us at materdees area , 5 mins went by and someone came . sat us done took drinks order .. 10 mins we waited for them to come , thats fine . so we were told to look at menu on phone so we did picked our food and waited over 15 minutes to order while staff were standing in corner talking , had to ask someone to take order but they said they couldn’t as they had to get someone else to do it so waited another 5 minutes for that eventually the man came took order apologised for the wait . no explanation , so we ordered starters cane within 5 minutes . chicken gojouns we got a d they were really good , mains came 15 mins later which is totally fine , mains were absolutely delicious lasagna and steak pie . we decided we disnt want our desserts and they said we can take them away asked for bill girl said ok , 10 mins went past nothing , asked another waiter he said he was going to get it , another 10 minutes went past so my wife got up and asked they said its coming just processing it , so it came 5 mins after that . paid and obviously left no tip which i hate doing but i treat my dining experience on service first before the food i cam handle bad food if the service is good but if service is bad it ruins your experience regardless of how good the food is . i wont be giving this place another chance and i would never recommend to anyone . train your staff on customer service and politeness
Could not fault the food,fillet done to perfection.service a bit iffy,we were into our main before wine came although it was ordered when we chose our starter.(on last visit they served the wrong wine).When dining on a weekend and paying almost £100 I prefer not to be facing someone wearing a baseball cap for the duration of his stay and another with a hoodie and a pair of shorts.Would be ok in a chip shop.A large amount of the diners moved about without any face coverings.
Arrived at Benkaz at 10 past one to be turned away at the door after being told that they close at 2. I understand restaurants close but to not be offered a table 50 mins before closing is poor indeed. We will not be coming back although it had been recommended to us. We have went elsewhere and the service could not be better.
