Town Hall Hotel - North Melbourne

Quality meals ar a reasonable price, especially steaks. The ambience is poor, the dining area needs a make over as looks a bit tired.

My niece suggested this place when we visited her in Melbourne. Best choice ever. All the items we ordered were delicious. We ordered lamb cutlets, rib eye steak and roast pork. The pork crackling was really crispy. Even the kids meal lamb cutlets was delicious. For dessert we ordered Chocolate Lava cake and Lemon Meringue pie. Both were yummy too. Plan to visit again before we leave Australia.

Located in the middle of Errol St. A short walk to 2 tram stops. Old school Rock & Roll music and decorations, relaxing beer garden at the back. Staff are very friendly, the food is fantastic. I recommend the chicken parma. Does get very busy, worth going to this pub earlier for dinner. Locals love this place & its easy to see why.

Went to this hotel with some friends for dinner. The hotel offers great value with good sized servings. Service was quick without being rushed and the staff were very helpful. Highly recommend as value for money

Had some old work buddies in town and were staying in North Melbourne so we were recommended to try this hotel for dinner. Very quaint and interesting, food choice and quality was reasonable but 2 of us were some what disappointed when our ordered mixed grill was delivered. This is were we noticed it was just dry meat selection without any sides or sauce? My friend then pointed out that we were not offered the extras on menu, choice of sauce and one side dish. While we accept some blame here as we were busy catching up, I would have thought the guy taking the order would have asked the question? Interest level low. So if you decide to eat there make sure you specify in great detail what you want and expect. So from a service point of view have to rate it as average only. Not sure I would go back again.
