Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy husband and I really enjoyed our meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and staff attentive polite. Poppadoms were crisp Nan bread freshly made. Dishes were delicious and certainly wouldn’t be afraid to try new ones there. Glad we ignored earlier reviews. Wished we lived closer as we certainly would make it our No.1 Indian Restaurant takeaway.
Some friends and I went to Monsoon for Thursday's banquet night. You each get a starter, a main meal each, a side to share, a rice to share and a naan to share, and it's plenty of food to enjoy for £11.95, which also includes a glass of house red or white wine. We couldn't fault anything! The service was great, and the food was delicious! Looking forward to going back already.
We booked a table for 8 people. Our close family. As we were celebrating my son's 40th birthday, we'd specifically requested a large table at the back so that we could all sit together at the rear of the restaurant. We turned up on time to be told we'd have to split into 2 groups of 4 and sit in the cubicles at the front. The guy eventually admitted that he'd later taken a booking for a larger group and given them priority over us. We were so disappointed. Finally we gave up and got much better service plus a welcome at another restaurant. A very poor show Monsoon.
For my husbands 40th birthday he wanted to celebrate at Monsoon as we 'd always ordered a take away for about 8 years and been happy! We 'd never sat in the restaurant and eaten there before so as a treat we booked a table for 8 (family came all the way from Coventry) but when we arrived to decorate the table they 'd given it away to a bigger party!! I don 't know what I was more angry about, the fact the manager had tried to call me the day before TO CANCEL my booking, (as if that was an answer) or the fact he was rude to me the party for being disappointed we were stuck with no where to go by trying to justify his intentions!!! He just didn 't want our business, simple as that. He sheepishly offered us two tiny tables of 4 in seperate booths which wasn 't an option as we 'd not seen some members of the family for months and it 's impossible to talk whilst sat crammed into these small booths with half the party in a different area of the restaurant. It Annoyed me even more that in my booking request I SPECIFICALLY asked for the (only) large table at the back of the restaurant to which they said 'no problem '! Else we 'd never of booked this restaurant.Basically money talks for this establishment, they don 't care about customer happiness. After wondering around Clevedon with elderly parents and a very tired and grumpy 4 years old we were finally told we could eat at the RedRose curry house where they gladly shuffled tables around to accommodate us an hour later. They even offered my husband and his brothers complimentary sambucas as a birthday treat!! We were treated so unfairly at Monsoon, I hope by reading this they will start putting customers first instead of Thier pockets and maybe they 'll receive better trip advisor comments- like at the Red rose!! Will never order a take away or book a table again with this place, absolute shameful service.I 'm just glad my husbands birthday meal wasn 't completely ruined ,all thanks to the Red Rose.
Went as a group of friends for the Thursday special. I cannot fault it. I love the food they serve here and I don't understand the review that says the food is bland. A good experience. Staff are pleasant without being over familiar. Good job chaps.
