Avaliação da contribuiçãoWent there for lunch... Environment was ok, food was so so, definitely have better other sushi places than this. Ordered spicy salmon roll, salmon avocado roll Bento, came with Miso soup, salad, few pieces of teriyaki chicken and two shrimp tempura...The chicken was pretty dry, the rice of the rolls is quite a lot, making the roll very thick, which is a bit too much and the rice doesn't like Japanese rice, so overall no good. $17.95 for this Bento set, probably won't come back again for this food and price.
Went to Ichiban AYCE for dinner. It's $40 per person, and the food quality is medicore, and to be honest, that is what you expect from AYCE. Would I go back? maybe with a group, but I found WINd Thai is a little better with more selections of dishes.
I disagree with all the negative reviews about this place! My lunch all you can eat experience was very pleasant and fulfilling. The sushi and maki were beyond my expectation. The presentation was good and the ingredients were fresh!I Iiked how they did not put too much rice in the rolls.Besides the sushi menu, I really enjoyed the salad/dessert bar. The shaved ice and jelly toppings made my day! Yummm!! ?The bar definitely makes this place special. The interior was clean and well maintained, including the washroom. In fact I was really amazed how sparkling clean the washroom was.I read reviews that they included 15% tip in the bill, but it did not happen to me. Probably the management adjusted by the complaints. My server was very polite. Indeed, all the staff was nice and friendly. They constantly refilled my water. The only issue with me was that they only had a small selection of rolls, as I am a roll lover.Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would definitely come back. This place has become my favorite all you can eat restaurant!
We enjoyed the wide selection of sushi available and particularly enjoyed nearly all of the options. Planning our selections in advance and using the iPad to place our order made the process seamless. Needless to say, we indulged in quite a feast.
There is really nothing special about Ichiban, but it does meet my standards for AYCE sushi. I live nearby but have never had a chance to try it until now as I don't enjoy AYCE sushi as much as I used to. I went at 1PM when both the lunch and dinner menu are offered, and we went with the lunch as it was cheaper and still had a good selection of food. I believe it was around $30 per person. The lunch menu does not have sashimi, but has sushi and a good variety of rolls, noodles, appetizers. We ordered quite a few rolls (not my favorite, but my friends wanted them) and a lot of the appetizers. The sushi quality is actually good for an AYCE joint. The salmon tasted fresh but the size of the rice was a bit large. Some other dishes that I enjoyed and would recommend are the chicken skewers, fried beef noodle, and beef short ribs. We honestly did not even get that much sushi, mostly because there was no sashimi, but I enjoyed the cooked dishes. The service was okay, one thing I found odd was that they brought out the food very slow paced. Our first round of ordering came out over a span of around 30 minutes. When we thought we finished everything there was just more and more being brought out. We had no issues with finishing it, but we just didn't expect more because it was so slow and came out in like 6 different trips! One other thing I had an issue with was their self-service salad, soup and dessert bar. We were never told about this and completely missed this until the end. So we missed out on miso soup, some appetizers, and almost missed out on ice cream and dessert. The only reason we found out is because I asked if there was ice cream for dessert (as most AYCE places offer this) and they informed us there was a self-serve bar. I don't know why they wouldn't tell us, as clearly we missed it when we walked past, and we were seated in a different area where the bar was not visible. I do kind of feel like we didn't get our full money's worth because of missing this!Overall it was okay but I don't think I'll be back, mostly because I'm not the biggest AYCE eater anymore. But it is a decent option in the area, a bit pricey but the quality of food is up to par.
