Italian beef special garlic bread with cheese and hot peppers is amazing. It beats most of the other Italian beef out there!
I work nearby and after an employee said they had a better Italian beef than Portillos, I had to see myself. I went there for lunch and was happy and started on Thursday lunch special, which was an Italian beef with fries and a drink. They brought an Italian beef with a layer of melted mozzarella cheese, which was wrapped in slightly roasted garlic bread (the garlic bread was 1 extra), and the sandwich was dipped by a sequence of perfectly groomed crinkle cutries with a side of cheese (the cheese was .50 extra). I took a bite and knew I had made a great decision for lunch. It is not better than Portillos per se, but they are definitely at the same level, so all Portillos fans out there read these.... I doubt that you will be disappointed. I'm a fan and I'm gonna be a regular customer now. As far as everything else, the staff was friendly, the rest it was clean with many seats and the food was hot and delicious. It's worth a try.
Great lunch menu and specialties. The prices are good for hob and food is pretty good. Whether their pizza or their hot dogs or their Italian beef or their chicken parmesan, they are all too great. Only the reason I didn't have 5 stars was that the interior of the restaurant had run down a little. Not terrible, but could use a rotating or at least a paint. Otherwise, this place is a treasure in the area for lunch. A bet is good.
One of the beautiful pizzeria in Northbrook Chicago. I tried White Pizza on a recommendation and I loved it. The service is fast and punctual. There are fairly available seats in the store. But it's not too cozy. Many parking spaces are available outside.
We live around the corner and this place is go-to for pizza. A little pricey, but damned if I don 't house an entire XL with just 2 adults eating out of a legit inability to control my need for another mouthwatering slice. Usually go Hawaiian or something with Italian sausage which is 10/10 on flavor. Their Pan/Deep dish is also a knockout. Didn 't know they crushed Italian Beef too, so that will be my next foray. May not be authentic NYC style, but it 's gotta be among your best options in NW Northbrook/Wheeling area.
