Good food, great locals pub. Sadly due to close, not sure it will continue as a pub. Would be a shame.

This is a wonderful, traditional country pub. The ambiance is pleasant, featuring a log burner and the owner's pet dogs quietly lounging in the bar area. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating regarding my friend's dietary needs, and the portions were generous, served hot and flavorful. We tried a variety of dishes from the menu, including starters, steaks, sausages, and a burger, and everything was cooked to perfection (the steaks were exactly as requested and bursting with flavor). I would definitely recommend paying a visit.

The atmosphere was not as lively as I had hoped. Given the restaurant's high ratings, I expected a bustling pub filled with a vibrant crowd, but that wasn’t the case. The beautiful two-sided fireplace in the center of the main bar would have added a lovely touch on a cold winter's night, but instead, it was unused and filled with decorative items. With just a few small improvements to enhance the warmth of the space, I’m sure it could become a much more popular destination.

Really lovely Christmas meals, and delicious, perfectly cooked ribeye steak. Looking forward to our next visit.
