Avaliação da contribuiçãoI decided to have brunch here on Sunday. I made a reservation on OpenTable, which was very convenient. The valet attendant gives you access to the parking, which is right next to it. The restaurant is inside the Morris Inn, with easy access once you walk in the entrance to the right. I didn't have to wait long after checking in with the host. The very attentive staff threw out the entire meal. We got a seat close to a nice window. The food was delicious. We ordered the R burger, which I think was juicy and delicious, including salmon and dessert. Everything made this experience much better than the previous one. I've been here 4-8 times in the past. I guess it's much busier during football season. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made this experience even better. It got more occupied with hotel guests checking in and other reservations. Overall great experience
My family ate there on Monday June 20. We were on our way home from St. Joseph, Michigan. As one of my sons put it: we must have looked like a motley crew. Anyway, I thought we would be turned away because we didn't look well-kempt. Not the case. They seated us and treated us very well. Never once did I feel we were being scrutinized or judged. Our server was very helpful and pleasant and the food was great. Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience. One other memory I want to mention. After lunch my sons and their families wanted to stroll around the grounds but I wasn't up for the walk so I sat on a bench outside the hotel/restaurant. I had my eyes closed when I heard a noise. A lady was emptying the trash bin next to the bench. I looked up and she apologized for waking me up as she was trying to be quiet. She didn't wake me up. She was very pleasant told me a bit about herself, I don't remember her name but I do remember she told me she has a twin sister who also works there. I Just wanted to thank her for sharing 5 minutes with me. I told her I'd just returned from my first visit to Rome this past March and she said OH! she'd love to go there someday. I am seventy and never even imagined it was possible so I never dreamed of going. I told her that I was a fall-away catholic but being in Rome gave me a new appreciation for the religion I grew up in. I hope she makes it to Rome someday.
Bartenders do not know how to make the most basic of drinks. I'll come between classes for a Martini and they have not made it right a single time. They'll give you well liquor when you specify shelf and then charge you the shelf price. They'll bruise the gin by shaking instead of stirring. They'll use old foul vermouth. Won't even fill the glass with drink. Charge $22 for your trouble. And don't forget the tip! Can't tell if it's incompetence or policy but either way, if you're ordering anything other than beer make sure you watch it being made. No pride in their work, it's a shame.
The food is decent. It is a little on the pricey side but they usually have good quality food. Ambiance is a upscale casual. With leather and dark tones. Can get loud at happy hour or later on but usually have space. Nice bar and for the most part friendly service. The bar has a good selection. And a long bar top to accommodate quite a few people. Lots of space for groups and also quiet enough for a couple. The menu is decent with a good variety. Breakfast is good too. Had the omelette this time. It was done just write. Tasty. And always with fresh squeezed oj and good coffee.
The food here is absolutely delicious. We stayed at the Morris Inn for 2 days and got to try breakfast, lunch, dinner AND dessert at Rohr's and let me tell you, every meal was a delight. Their fries come with a delectable truffle aioli that is just superior to any other condiment and the blood orange sorbet was unlike any ice cream I've ever had before. 10/10 totally recommend. The caesar dressing was a little too raw-garlic for my taste but that was pretty much my only complaint. The service is 10/10, the staff genuinely wants you to have a good experience.
