Kartoffel - Nürnberg

We got to know the restaurant by accident, via Google Maps. We’ve entered the restaurant and ended up in a courtyard. The bar and seatings are outdated, the service is simple and friendly but not very talkative if you cannot speak German. The meals were...delicious and served quickly. In short; recommended!

Amazing place! The whole menu focus on potatoes. Imagine a hamburger with hash-browns instead of bread! They do have steak and... french fries of course! The service was very friendly and great place for diner with friends or family.

A member of staff asked us if we had booked, we hadn’t, which I didn’t think would be a big problem as there were lots of empty tables. We were then ignored completely, left standing at the door for sometime, eventfully we decided to leave...as we realised we weren’t being acknowledged. Also it smelt like a public toilet in the restaurant glad we didn’t dine there in the end.

The food when it finally arrived was good as was the beer. However, the services was appalling. The was one person to take the orders, pour the drinks and serve the food and one other to do the cooking. Needless to say there were a...lot of delays, mistakes with orders and so many walk outs. The surroundings are also good, so it’s a shame that more staff aren’t employed as their reputation will soon suffer

Been coming here for several years, and always been a great experience. The potato dishes are a delight. Nice service, good wine and friendly ambience. Keep up the good work!
