First off, there was no happiness about this dish because it is supposed to come with beef, chicken, pork and shrimp. I found three pieces of beef, four pieces of chicken, don’t think I even saw any pork, and a few shrimp. but it should’ve come with pork fried rice, me tell you. The”pork” in the fried rice was nonexistent, just some peas and onions. Long sore short, I called back. I told the gentleman on the phone about my experience, and I got dead air…. For like 3–5 minutes straight! Like he didn’t know what to do, he asked some older lady I could tell was really loud on the other phone arguing with another customer on the phone saying” do you want it or not??” if you don’t no problem. needless to say, had literally convinced the woman that my food was terrible, hardly any flavor at all. That Bryce had no pork in it whatsoever, and that the egg roll, the pork eggroll had no pork in it or no taste of pork, literally just like vegetables in a deep fried shell! Best part about the night was, I ordered Kung pow chicken, went there about 10 minutes later (she did ask me to bring the whole dish back by the way just to prove that I was right) and picked up the Kung pow chicken. Big letdown when I got home. Food was a little bit better, but there was no egg roll! Definitely would recommend golden palace, were in new Fong kitchen before this place by mile, maybe 5 miles. Worth the money if only a couple dollars extra.
This establishment owner and employees are utterly disgusting. I purchased food from them which was undercooked. I called them as I had not eaten the food asking for a the food to be replaced they got irate and advised me that I should bring back the food in which I did. Once I arrived they refused to replace the food and didn’t want to give me my money back after I had eaten nothing from the food but eggrolls and he told me to go to McDonald’s in which I had to call the police after about an hour of arguing he gave me a partial refund which I’m still offended. SO FROM THE WORDS OF THE COOK AND THE OWNER GO TO MCDONALDS BEFORE EVER GOING TO THIS PLACE NOT WORTH THE $40 OF UNDERCOOKED FOOD!!!!
I ordered shrimp with mixed veggies combo platter. The shrimp was mushy and the fried rice was soggy.
We like used to like it. Service and food went down hill. An hour for marginal take out. Not worth it
I've eaten at Chef King on and off for over 20 years. For me it's almost always great. I was a little leery about ordering again seeing a few recent not-so-great reviews. But, I ordered today and it was great. Really actually quite perfect. I got the Tofu Homestyle and a lunch portion of vegetable Egg Foo Young. To be honest, I don't think it could have been done better. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. I went around noon on Wednesday. Typically, I do order just vegetarian dishes. However, I have now had their Chicken and Broccoli, and again really enjoyed it. The chicken and the broccoli were perfect. The fried vegetable dumplings are great too.
