Lil John's Sweetreat Ice Cream Parlor

Visited here while on vacation in Oak Island. I loved the Banana Pudding ice cream, so yummy! Tried the Lavender Honey, not a fan, had a weird flowery flavor. Husband had the Peanut Butter Butterfinger ice cream, good flavor but he wished for more candybar pieces. He also had the Carmel Apple ice cream, was delicious, however it does contain nuts (for anyone who might haveallergies! . We returned a second time and I had a banana split with their Banana Pudding ice cream so yummy! Husband hadthe Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae with Peanut Butter Butterfinger ice cream, which he enjoyed a bit more then just getting scoops ofice cream.

Fantastic ice cream with lots of options. Line was long but it went very quick and the workers were very nice. Well worth the trip from Holden Beach if you need to get away one night.

Best ice cream I've ever had! Made fresh daily with local milk. New flavors all the time. Their sorbets are good too! Fair prices. Try their chocolate cake sundae (big enough to share) for only $6.50. Favorite flavors so far are Coffee Oreo, ChampagneMango, and Peach Tea Sorbet

At 9pm on Friday night the line was to the street so we figured it must be good. The ice cream is made by them from milk sourced by grass fed NC cows. Several flavors to choose from for cup or cone, as well as splits, sundaes, and milkshakes. The line wentfast and our orders came out before we could finish taking pictures with the mascot sign. We will be coming back for anothertreat before our vacation is over!

We literally eat ice cream here a minimum of 5 times during our week stay at OKI. It's the best ice cream we've had, my husband loves the banana pudding and gets it EVERY time. I try different flavors each time. The butterfinger was fantastic. You must go here of you're at Oak Island.
