The Adler was one of our Stopping Points on our bicycle Trip from Munich to Lindau. The Adler have a separate Room with plugins for cycle chargers. Very good. The rooms are very good! The food the beer, the wine and the service was wonderful....We will come back!
After having read good reviews i was largely disappointed. The menu is poor, no vegetarian options. The service was beyond poor. We ordered two main dishes (one spinatknoedl, one forel fillet), with one water and one beer. The dishes were very nicely plated and tasty....No fault there, but they were served at a long interval between them. The drinks never arrived at all (but appeared on the final check). We then ordered apfelstrudel and coffee. Waited. Waited. The strudel was served. Tasty and nicely plated. No coffee, despited several reminders. Eventually got the coffee after finishing off the strudel. Had to tell the waiter to delete the drinks from the bill, and when i presented a credit card to pay, I was told to come inside with him. Again i was left waiting at the reception desk and waiting until he finished his round of tables, collecting orders and payment. Finally he got round to bringing out the credit card machine, and was quite visibly upset when i didnt leave a tip. I wonder why... He made every effort to **** me off. Quite successfully, I may add. By the way, i spoke German with him, so no misunderstandings and no arguments. All very quiet and polite. Just plain bad service. This is probably a good place for an ice cream or dessert. Don't go there for a meal.
The restaurant was just right for our family of adults;three grandchildren. the pizza was right for the kids, and the mains for the adults were excellent--the Braised Ox and Onion Steak were delicious.Service was excellent, and I think the Adler even accepted a credit...card, rather than only cash which can happen frequently in this part of Bavaria. Would certainly go again if in town. Nearby parking can be a problem, but there is always space at the railway station car park--only a few minutes away.
A lovely setting to sit and enjoy a of delicious dry white wine and a beer (for my husband). The interior of the hotel public areas is tastefully decorated and very pleasant indeed. It's a great place to people watch. If we are ever...in the area again, we'll definitely try some lunch at this hotel. The dishes that we saw go by lookef very scrummy.
