The restaurant is located in a great location. it sits right on the lake with a fantastic view to the south. The Heini-Klopfer ski-flight can see them in the far away and naturally in the big mountains. they drive there either from the next parking lot. in the valley (almost open but uphill). the cheapest alternative is to take the sessellift Heini-Klopfer skiflugschanze and walk from there to foot. if they don't like to go open sessellifte and also don't like to go uphill, then their fallback is to take the buses to söllereck and go from there. it is more or less flat, but it takes about minutes. there they can sit outside, but there is also a large indoor seating area with glass from floor to deck, so the view is as big as sitting outside. eating is good with the typical kitchen in a Bavarian restaurant. I have tried several foods there and especially liked the strammer max and the cheesecake (cheesecake). but they avoid the rösti with salmon (salmon), because it is mostly salat and above all ruined my rösti by pouring the dressing over them, which they robbed from their cripple. they can visit the place in summer and winter. in summer the swimming pool is also open so that they can swim in the lake or use a boat.
We spent about minutes walking from oberstdorf to reach this restaurant. it is not very easy because you should climb the mountain, but it is not high and has a good road. the restaurant near the Lake Freiberg, so that they get a. much delicious food and great view together. I even saw people swimming in the lake. in the restaurant you can use the interior or the open terrace, the friendly staff and the delicious food for a good price. large portions.
The restaurant is at a great location. It directly sits on the lake with an awesome view to the south. You can see the Heini-Klopfer Skiflugschanze in the distance and of course the great mountains. Traveling there, you either walk from the nearest parking lot in the valley (fastest open, but uphill). The most convenient alternative is to take the chair lift at Heini-Klopfer Skiflugschanze and walk from there. If you don't like open chair lifts and also don't like uphill walking, then your fallback is to take the buss to Söllereck and walk from there. It is more or less flat, but takes you about 45 minutes.Being there you can sit outside, but there is also a great indoor sitting area with glass from floor to ceiling, so the view is just as great as sitting outside. The food is good with the typical cuisine you get in an Bavarian restaurant. I have tried multiple foods there and especially liked the Strammer Max and the Käsekuchen (cheese cake). But avoid the Rösti mit Lachs (salmon), because it is mostly salad and most importantly they ruined my Rösti by pouring the dressing over them which robbed them of their crispness. You can visit the place in summer and winter. In summer, the swimming bath is open too, so you can swim in the lake or use a boat.
We spent about 40 minutes on foot from Oberstdorf to reach this restaurant. It's not very easy because you should "climb" the mountain, but it is not high and has is a good road. The restaurant just near the Freibergsee, so you will get a very tasty food and great view together. I even saw there people swimming in the lake. In the restaurant you can use inner space or open terrace, friendly staff and tasty food for a good price. Big portions.
