Fabulous! Best meal we've had in a long time. Caesar calamari salad delicious and unique. Filet one of the best even and a generous portion. I had the short rib tamale. Delicious. As good as in Oaxaca. Martinis great. Jillian took care of us. She made it a special treat.

Such a gem in Escondido! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is always great. They have great cocktails as well! We tried the Chef's Mercy menu and it was amazing, I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

The bartender shaking ice at the bar frequently was mildly disruptive. But, the quality of the food, the rest of the ambiance, and the food (worth mentioning twice) were so delicious it was absolutely a great experience.

It's a great value and a fabulous experience every single time. It's a hidden jewel in quaint downtown Escondido. It matters not if you live in Carlsbad, Oceanside, Encinitas or downtown San Diego, if you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience, make the trek to downtown Escondido, IT IS SOOO WORTH IT. Perfect for date night, or entertaining friends. Hunsaker's understands the value of good food, REAL food, and excellent service! BRAVO! We will be back again and again.
