El Maguey #5 Mexican - OOLTEWAH

Comfortable little storefront restaurant. Good food. Great place to stop after church on Sunday. The taco salad was a great choice. And they always have a great margarita.

Good looking restaurant but service was terrible. If you order a drink better get the big one because they won't be back. I had to hunt down waiter for check just so I could leave. I won't be back and don't recommend you go either. Totally a waste of time and money.

The tacos were delicious! I will 100% be returning to get the steak tacos.I'm very picky about my Mexican food. These tacos are authentic mexican tacos and flavorful.

My chicken chimichanga was folded into a square and was exponentially small. I just wanted the chimichanga for lunch so I didn't get rice or beans or lettuce or Pico, and I was still charged 8.50 for the whole meal even though I didn't get the whole dinner plate I ordered a small lunch. With a drink I'll add. The drink was huge, the tea did NOT have a pungent after taste like stale tea tends to so thats good. Their queso dip was off. It seemed to be just hot cheese and heavy cream. No mixed green pepper like other places. Their salsa had kinda too much cilantro imo some ppl like that though. My chimichanga was so small I was still hungry afterward. I guess I should've just got what I paid for lol. I probably won't come back here, which is a bummer bc I live in ooltewah. And I needed this diner for its location. STEP IT UP.Also the hostesses and servers kinda made me feel awkward. The whole time. Their English was okay so it wasn't that, it was just awkward. I felt kinda judged and idk just judged for picking up a single order alone as a woman. It was just strange lol

I sat and watch the waitress scoop the sour cream I asked them to hold off my food and bring me the same plate back. Like nothing was wrong. Will never be back.
