A beautiful room. a very pleasant place for a coffee break. the coffee had a fair degree of froth, but was still nice with very good taste depth. the price too close to a euro is amazing.
The caffe is located on the teatro mancinelli on the corso cavour. they can sit on the terrace on the street, but inside is better. 5. euros brings them a generous glass good weins, a plate of hors d’oeuvres, a frescoed deck and Ella...Fitzgerald on the sound system. Baked sitting under glass, espresso and a full bar. quiet enough to write postcards, but when the theatre is omitted. serenissima.
Called in for a drink with a view to visiting the theatre. After a couple of drinks, decided on food and when hubby asked if we could order, was simply told yes. Expected menus, drinks arrived and then food came to the table, no menu....Admittedly the ham/cheese toast and croissant were yummy, would have been nice to have some other options.
We walked in the caffe for lunch, there was only one waiter that also work in the bar and he did everything. It took 15 minutes to the waiter to come to take our reservation. Then it took another 15 minutes to get the drinks...and about 50 minutes to get the food during this time no one came to tell us something. we told the waiter that we are going and he said that it will take another 2 minutes, and then it really came, but it was 50 minutes after we ordered. I ordered salad and gnocchi and me husband ordered hamburger, and his dish came without fries. When we askes the waiter he said that he knows and the chef is under pressure what an answer !!
