Pho Bo Ga Truc - Ottawa

I really like this restaurant. I have had pho almost every visit and broth is wonderful not too salty and ingredients are fresh. I have had the rice and ginger chicken a few times and it is very good with lots of fresh ginger and fresh veggies. We have never been disappointed in any food choices here and the fresh rolls and peanut sauce are amazing.

I came in here, and the place was dead. I ordered their B1, BBQ pork with spring roll on vermicelli.<br/ <br/ I have never said this before about a Vietnamese place, but their tea was actually quite good. Had a floral flavour to it I haven't had before. <br/ <br/ The portion was reasonable, but I would have liked a bit more pork on it. The vermicelli came out hot, and I can't count the times it has been served cold other places. The spring roll was quite good, crispy on the outside but soft inside.<br/ <br/ Overall, I'd definitely return.

Oh man. Been coming here since my uni years. I would take the bus from Carleton during a break. Come in for a big bowl of hot delicious pho and a book on a cold fall day.<br/ I think I've tried everything on this menu. I recommend everything. This place is what made me fall in love with pho. <br/ <br/ I cannot get enough of this place.<br/ <br/ Downside. It's hard to get a table at lunch. That's how busy it is. You have to be strategic.

Favorite Vietnamese. I have been coming to Truc for years now, I have yet to have a better springroll or vermicelli in Ottawa. Fast service, good food, nice atmosphere.

Good pho. Pretty good pho : place downtown to stop by if you don't wanna go all the way to Chinatown.
