Avaliação da contribuiçãoSmall space next to an Asian market. Good selection of typical Korean dishes from fresh ingredients. Service was good and price is fair for food quality. It is worth asking the waiter what he recommends on order as he seems to know what the...Koch is best when cooking.
Great food, heavy variety on menu (Korea or Sushi) service is not great, but the place is very clean and open space with quiet music so a good place to go as couple or with friends. Value is so-so, portions could be bigger and they could be more generous with the banana. Banchan with the larger hot-pot elements. Very large single washrooms. Accessible and good for young parents to have children. Bottom line, food is good and I will be back to try all these soups / straw!
A tiny Korean restaurant connected to a Korean grocery store. Portions are generous and delicious. Definitely try back more in their menu with its huge selection of stews, rice toppings, sushi. We decided to try the Korean barbecue. We were not disappointed! You know... that you have to order two portions and that brings you to the $40 range. A small cooktop with grill was placed on our table with 2 large, uncooked meat portions, a plate of green and garlic, 2 bowls of rice, unlimited sides (Kimchi, inlaid daikon and carrots, curry potatoes) and 2 delicious diving sauces. It was a cozy meal of barbecues, food and conversation. If more possibilities were desired for pages (some dried anchovy would have been delish).
I work in the area.. and through this simple "café in a Korean grocery " countless times... last week I ordered in and with the help of friendly young staff I ordered 'what all other orders first '. This lovely healthier bowl with a perfect sunny side...egg over serving cooked vegetables and pulled beef in bowl in perfect sticky rice with caramelized... stole my taste buds... I can't wait to return and explore the menu.... Thanks Dolsot Café!!!
Like most Korean restaurants, Dolsot Café has a modest dining area and average, albeit friendly, service. I had the gamjatang. It was definitely the closest I’ve had to gamjatang in Korean restaurants in Toronto. The soup was nice and spicy. There was loads of meat...and the broth had a lot of flavour and depth. However, there was no potato (which is a must for me in gamjatang! , even though the menu indicated that there was. The banchan came in very small servings — I could have eaten three times the amount of kimchi they gave me. Most places give free refills, but none of the servers bothered to come to my table after the food was delivered. Despite a few drawbacks, I’d certainly go back.
