Jack Astor's - Ottawa

The atmosphere was warm, the waiters served us very well and the meal was very good. chicken fillets were excellent and the cooking of the perfect beef.

Love the food and drink selection, the servers are knowledgeable and fun. They always have good, new stuff on the menu and so far there's been nothing that I don't like. We also hold corporate events here for clients and they make sure everyone is happy and having a good time.

Jack Astor's is our go-to when the kids want to go for a quick dinner or lunch. People are nice and the food is always good. We like the bread and the calamari to start and everyone gets a different meal. I love the tuna avocado mango salad, my youngest loves the asiago chicken bow ties. My oldest likes the triple stacked burger, and my husband tries a different burger each time. The sweet potato fries are delicious!

Went after work and had a couple orders of different types of nachos and some drinks. Nachos weren't very good, especially the ones that came on a wooden plank. Few small pieces of beef on each nacho chip and there were maybe 10 chips on the plank total. Very disappointed. Noisy and uncomfortable seats, I fact we changed tables twice. Way over-priced menu. We will not go back!

The food selection is pretty standard for a restaurant chain. It may be a few bucks more than other places for the same dish. Nothing spectacular, service was good with friendly staff. Not a place to get out of your way to visit, would probably rather go to the Mandarin or Moxies further down on Hunt Club if choosing a place to eat in that area.
