Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe ordered a mutton curry and mushroom masala for takeout. The mutton curry had already gone bad and so smelly. The rotten smell came right after we opened it. They must have given us some left over from the previous day. Mushroom curry was not...good at all. Never buy food from Karara again. This is from the Stranderd location.
We’ve been consistently ordering from Karara since they opened. We love their Chilli Chicken, and cheese naan, their curries are usually a hit or miss which we don’t mind for the most part. Tonight after not ordering from there for a few months, we ordered...our usual since I was craving Indian food. When we got home, I opened everything up and nothing looked right. The chilli chicken was completely dry with no sauce, the cheese naan looked like there was no cheese, the cheese prantha and butter prantha looked exactly the same, it was bland and rubbery. We decided to go ahead and eat it anyways, and the chilli chicken was basically old leftover chicken heavily battered with some sauce, that is nothing like the chilli chicken that we used to get. I phoned the restaurant back, to double check that we didn’t get the wrong food, and the guy on the phone says “they’ve changed their recipe”, and that’s the correct way the chilli chicken is made. I informed him that the food is completely inedible and I was happy to bring everything back and get a refund. He called me back and said the manager said they don’t do refunds, and offered a discount for the next time I ordered. There wasn’t going to be a next time since the only things we liked are now cooked differently. I’ve never had such terrible food in my life. We indulge in a takeout meal every weekend, and this meal was complete garbage, and I’m out over $60. Worst restaurant experience EVER.
Take out food twice. Advertise to ask for food spicy hot as they do not make hot or spicy food. So we did. It was so hot-spicy it was inedible. It hurt to eat it! So we tried a second time. No spicy hot this...time! Food wasn't that great. One dish had a sour taste. Potatoes in it were almost raw. Definitely the LAST meal we get at Karara.
We went for an extradition...we tried the samosa, lamb vindaloo and the butter chicken together with naan. the food was good. we are going back to the final.
I just had takeaway from the Kanata location. Very bland lamb rogan josh, boring chicken korma and average butter chicken. I had goat jalfrezi that was mostly bones, though the little meat I got was tender. The chicken dishes appeared to be cooked chicken pieces...simmered in the gravy for ten minutes. Samosas were average and overcooked, and their onion bhaji was terrible. I should have known from the disinterested, unfriendly person who greeted me and took my order. He appeared to have wanted to be anywhere but there. Overall a poor experience from start to finish. A disappointing experience for over $100 of food. I will not be ordering from there again and do not recommend the Kanata location.
