A pretty expensive business for what they get. the croissants and other sweets seem to be made with “Rough Puff” baked goods instead of traditional puff pastries. they are buttery and fit, but a little harder than they should be.
On Sunday morning on this. beautiful brote and baked. the almond croissant was incredible! even eating it as we walk in minus 20 temperatures!
I had the pleasure of discovering The French Baker right before Christmas; having grown up in Montreal (home of La Patisserie Belge, which is sadly no longer in business), I was looking to pass on my childhood Christmas morning tradition of oven-warmed almond croissants and Chocolatines to my own family. I placed my order several days in advance and can honestly say that the quality surpassed my (high) expectations. And a special thanks to Scott for going above beyond the call of duty to ensure I was delighted with the pastries. And now that my family is gleefully addicted, I will definitely be back next Christmas (and possibly sooner).
There is no menu. I asked for 1. Iced coffee 2. Mocha they had neither and the guy explained it was a european menu. Not sure what that means but ended up getting an Americano and a croissant. Would help if they had a posted menu especially in such a touristy area. Croissant was decent.
