Marcello's Market and Deli - Ottawa

Horrible, not vegetarian friendly. Although they have salad options many of their items are marked as veggie_____ yet still contain meat hidden throughout. Revolting and over-priced.

Went for lunch to grab something quick while I was there for work. The sandwiches that my colleague and I had for lunch were very good. The buffet didn't look that great to me but would definitely go back for their sandwiches.

Good fresh made sandwiches. Buffet looks average but I haven't tried it. Overall, service is fast and efficient. Prices are the same as other lunch places in the area.

This cafe has some good food, but I am always confused by the pricing. They have a selection of hot and cold food items in buffet style, which you put into a styrofoam container. When you go up to pay, they weigh it and the price is based on weight. However, I didn't see a scale or list of how this is calculated, maybe I missed it?I grabbed a small, square container and did NOT over fill it. I had some tomato, cucumber salad, a pasta salad, a few olives and other veggies. None of those items are expensive.I grabbed a yogurt and a bottle of juice. Total cost was $17!!!!! Unbelievable!I don't believe that any of the food they offer merits the price they charge. And again, it seems to be a mystery how much it will be until you get to the cash register.

It appears that there are many locations of this chain in downtown Ottawa. This particular restaurant is situated in the Clarica Center, with the entrance on Alberta Street.
