Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy husband and I were in New Orleans for Mardi Gras this year and loved the NOLA signature cocktail - the Sazerac. Not many places in Ottawa offer this drink but I'd heard that this place does, so we went in just to have one. We sat at the bar and we were not disappointed, their Sazerac was just as good as the ones we had in New Orleans. We also tried their Red Bourbon Sour which was equally as good. We will definitely be back for cocktails and we'll also try some food next time.
We ordered the ribs and brisket for two. Made for big appetite, large portion. Both were very tasty. Fries and slaw were good. Good selections for wines and beers. We found the music a little loud, it could be turned down a bit so we could have a conversation without raising our voices.
Mushroom apetizer was superb (probably the best mushroom dish I've ever had and I love mushrooms). The drinks and the staff were terrific. The cookies and the fried chicken were very good. The beef brisket, curiously, was average.I heard great comments about the bone marrow dish and the shrimp dish.It was strange that one of their dishes (the brisket) that should have been one of their strongest dishes was their weakest.I can't wait to try their other dishes.
Very good food, ambiance and service. We'll be back!Chicken and waffles were sooo tasty. Next time I won't shareRibs were finger licking good and the BBQ sauce was fantastic. Kinda had a little fruity/apple taste to it. Smoked beet salad with goat cheese poppers are definitely worth it as a starter.Ownership went the extra mile in the men's and ladies washroom. Floss, mints hand creams etc.Staff knew the menu, beers etc., and we're super friendly and fast.Good job all around Mason Dixon!
Cute little place on Preston Street -- delicious brisket and great cocktails. The variations on the theme of whiskey sours were especially yummy.
