Mi Mexico Family Mexican - Ouray

During our visit to Uray on March 22, many places were closed. Mi Mexico, however, remained open while most others in the city did not. The interior is beautiful, adorned with bright and colorful Mexican artwork. The staff was quite pleasant. They took extra care to confirm that my meal was vegan, ensuring that I received what I ordered. Overall, I appreciated their attention to detail regarding dietary preferences!

The restaurant offers a variety of vegetable-based vegan options, along with many dishes that can be easily adapted to be vegan.

The vegan options here felt quite bland, as if they were more focused on a diet rather than flavor. Just a heads up, they use chicken stock in their rice, which I had to inquire about. This made me question whether they should really label it as vegan. We ordered the veggie enchiladas and the garden fresco burrito, sans rice. Having spent a considerable amount of time in Mexico enjoying fantastic vegan Mexican food, we were excited for this meal. However, due to the limited options in the area, I’m giving it an extra star.

The food was exceptional, and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Wanting Mexican food, with my son and granddaughter visiting , my wife searched Google for a restaurant in Ouray. Colorado.We found Mi Mexico off the busy main drag on a side street. Glad we found it. Excellent food and service, even in this December off season when lots of places usually close .
