Avaliação da contribuiçãoI'm new to Montrêal, and have spent some time in Côte d'Ivoire, where I fell in love with Aloco (fried plantains) roasted chicken with "la sauce", (if I told you I'd have to kill you), foufou (doughy maizey/cassavaey goodness) and fried whole tilapia with hot sauce. So when I stumbled upon the unassuming facade I couldn't believe my eyes. The menu was like finding an old friend. A peek inside told me all I needed to go inside: mostly Africans! I had to wait about 20 min, because I was ordering to go and I was a walk-in. Had a nice chat with a friend of the owner while I waited. I was not disappointed! Really good, really authentic. Word to the wise, if you want "la sauce", call an hour ahead, that stuff takes time! The owner is a lovely man from Togo and the place is immaculate and reasonably priced. They're open every day which will mean I will be there every week!Allez vous!
A discovery! very tasty food, warm welcome, affordable price. I'll go back to it, but note that the juices are served in jars with enough for two people.
You have to go to this place if you happen to be in Outremont. The food is great and you do not have a lot of this cuisine around. Service is warm and friendly and you will it pretty inexpensive. I will come back there every time I happen to be around, it is a must try !
