Concolon Street Food Cafe - Panama City

I was so impressed by how amazing this place was that I had to use Google translate to express my enthusiasm to the woman who welcomed us outside the restaurant. The food was fantastic, the service was quick and attentive, and surprisingly affordable. The drinks and music were also great. I told my partner that we had to come back before leaving Panama.

Don listen to the guy half block from Concolon he works for a cuban restaurant trying to take advance from this very nice Panamanian restaurant costumers,this person is very annoying he bothered us even inside the place seated but we stayed at Concolon that we considered the best meal in Panama. We had a lot of dishes that don’t recall the names but it was delicious most of them even if the seasoning is very different from back home,so many smoke dishes flavors and cilantro .we loved Panama and Concolon is a good reference of Panamanian Gastronomy

We had researched a new place to eat. On the way, a guy from another restaurant was on the street attempting to wrangle some customers, but we stayed the course because we were eager to see what the place we researched had to offer. We should’ve gone with him! While cooked perfectly, the wings and shredded beef were both bland and uninspired. The fries were the most delicious and that’s kinda sad. We left not hungry, yet not really happy either. While dining, we watched how the crew at ConColon would try to snake the customers from the other restaurant and also found that evil. This is the very first place we have eaten in the city that we would NEVER return to or recommend.

I was blown away by this charming and beautifully decorated restaurant. The standout feature, however, was the incredible quality of the food! We tried some empanadas and carimañolas, followed by the chicken in a hat and concolon with ropa vieja. Each dish was bursting with layers of delicious flavors. A visit to this restaurant is a must when in Panama City!

Great food. Ate outside, nice ambiance. Shared beef w crispy rice and pork w rice and beans between two adults and three kids and it was the right quantity of food for us.
