Taste Food Tours has a new tour which goes on the rivercat to Parramatta which is perfect for tourists or those who are new to Sydney. This is part 2 of the tour. . After a nice light breakfast and a relaxing rivercat cruise from the city to Parramatta, we walk from the ferry wharf to Adora Chocolates.
Funnily enough I discovered this place when walking to the gym one day.<br/ I managed to drag a friend over to help restrain me from going mad buying everything and we fell in love (along with everyone else we’ve bought chocolates for from here). <br/ The chocolates seriously are amazing – my favourite being the macadamia pyramid.<br/ Adora’s chocolates are handcrafted in all different flavours and they even do different flavoured jellies, marshmallows and gelato!<br/ Another great thing about these guys is they do high tea. <br/ I was a vegetarian at the time we had this so we got a range of cheese puffs and vegetarian pastries which were a nice accompaniment to the sweet stuff. <br/ The hot food was definitely a winner for me. And to be honest, most chocolate places I’ve been to fail when they try and do something savoury. <br/ The chocolate here is smooth, creamy and flavoursome, much like our Aussie favourite, Cadbury.<br/ But in all honesty, this place really is one to visit and they’re doing so well that they’ve opened up in various other locations such as Sydney CBD and Earlwood with the newest one being in Newtown. <br/
Love the chocolate range here, with the chocolate covered orange slices, ginger chocolate, and beautiful truffles. We tried the coconut cream chocolate, and passionfruit filled chocolates the latter was my favourite. We also had the coffee and hot chocolate, and both were delicious! I picked up an orange flourless cake slice and this was one of the better gluten free cakes I have eaten. It was light, and flavoursome, and not loaded down with a whole lot of sugar. I love the specials they had for fathers day also. I was disappointed by the slow service, and the 50c surcharge on card transactions, but otherwise recommend this little cafe for tasty treats!
This place is so beautifully laid out and just smells Devine as soon as you walk into the door. The selection of chocolates here is very wide and the hot chocolates are also good. I highly recommend the macadamia pyramids
