Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis restaurant in north Jersey has the best subs around. It has been around for 25 to 30 years and has managed to survive the pandemic and a decrease in lunch crowd due to remote working. This is a testament to the quality of the food and service. Whenever I am in the area, I always make sure to stop here for lunch. While all the food is excellent, my favorite are the subs. The restaurant is always clean, well-lit, and inviting for customers to sit and enjoy their meal. The customer service is top-notch, with the friendly owner present daily and actively making subs. The other staff members are also welcoming. I highly recommend trying the tuna and turkey and cheese subs, as they never disappoint with their generous portions of meats.
The Great Wazu exemplifies why small businesses are the heart of a community. As a future small business owner myself, I frequent this restaurant every 1-2 weeks for dinner. Sara, the employee behind the counter, has gotten to know me and always remembers my order. Tonight, when I shared with her my worries about opening my own business, she generously offered to cover my meal and gave me a comforting hug. This heartfelt interaction made me realize the true value of this place goes beyond just sandwiches—it's the genuine kindness that makes it so special.
Having lived in New Jersey all my life, it's a shame that places like this are hard to come by nowadays. The moment you step inside, you instantly feel comfortable and welcome. Without a doubt, The Great Wazu is the top spot in the area for sandwiches and catering services. You won't find better macaroni salad anywhere else on the planet.
We ordered few sandwiches for work today. It was the most horrible sandwiches we had. All of us through out our food. Bread also smelled and didn’t taste fresh. I use to like this place but not anymore.
I travel 1 hour monthly once to have the CJ's Eggplant Spectacular Panini. I love it here.
