South Ocean Grill - Patchogue

Just the second time we were there... must come a little more often to south ocean grill! we started with the Thai calamari salad and the sesam crusted tuna. both were absolutely amazing. the calamari was very good. the dressing was light and not exaggerated. the thunfish was tender and these sesame seeds added only the correct amount of crunch. for entrees we ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was in fact and tender. when I say it was tender. it was smiling in her mouth delicious. it was served over a bed of garnel risotto, and the garnels had exactly the right amount to him. And as we were the last time there, we ordered the key lime pie. brownish, sweet and refreshing. I had told my cousin of south ocean grill after the first time, and he's here 4 times! we will come back! oh, the case prosecco martini with a tiny ritter rosmarin was also very good!

Rest on Thursday night. the second time here and not disappointed. must try, is the key limette cake!

The waitress seemed tired and made us feel somewhat rushed. She did not go over the menu I wanted to order a steak and then we get the oh by the way, forgot to tell you we are out of steak I asked do you have any beef, and didn’t even try to find out. I’ve been coming here for several years now for two reasons one the service in the waitresses are always top-notch and accommodating and I’ve never once had an issue with ordering something from the Menu They get a pass

I often fear that leaving a good review will make a place harder to get into. I have seen the demand created by good reviews put too much pressure on a place to stay what they were. That said, South Ocean Grill is an old favorite. Always look. at menu for fifteen minutes. Always order the same thing. Scallops, Shrimp Risotto! Kale salad is amazing. Petite is good for two to split. This visit was New Years Eve, the staff worked like a team and kept everyone happy. If I have a negative, its that it’s loud. But most places are, and what can you do about it? Turned my hearing aids up a click and as always had a wonderful experience.
