It was a three-hour waiting time, but it was worth waiting. The food was extraordinary. The parts are big. You could live with the Pommes plate. The staff was excellent. The pictures speak for themselves. This is the place where you need to put on your bucket list.
Breakfast was served on Thursday morning. Wait, we sat right away. We have good breakfast and have not taken too long. Fun experience loved the shopping area.
My mother and I just visited Mercantile. This was our first time in Oklahoma. My mother has been watching the Pioneer Woman cooking show for years. She loves Ree! We came from Boston to see the lodge, the Mercantile and stay at the Boarding House. First of all, Sheriff Terry, who works here, is the true definition of Southern Hospitality! He was friendly enough to give us a tour through the Mercantile and the Boarding House. He greeted us and took care of us! Secondly, the food was delicious in Mercantile. We stayed there from Sunday to Wednesday and don't wait every day in their restaurant. My favourite was the tomato soup with grilled cheese slices (so good)! I also had the Lavendel Latte, which was different and delicious. I love the icy caramele I had every day! The country tasted and the Parmesanries were very delicious! The lodge is a must. The land around the lodge was stunning!!! My mother's dream came true to visit the lodge where the pioneer filmed her show! Everything we expected and more! It was a great mother and daughter journey! Coming from Boston to Oklahoma, I will never forget the great and friendly Southern Hospitality we have experienced!
Our breakfast was good. My sweet tea tasted funny...not sure if it is a different kind of tea or why it tasted different. The tea was only 25 cents for a large Mason jar full. The price of the food wasn't too bad. Our server was okay...she didn't return to ask if we needed anything else until we were pretty much finished eating. The mercantile was nice, as was the bakery but basically everything in the store, bakery and ice cream shop were too expensive for my taste. They had some lovely dishes and a variety of other nice items for purchase.
