Partner had the Mahi Mahi, and I had the jerk ribs. Coconut shrimp starter (3 pieces) and cocktail were both great. Jerk lamb had a little heat, you could definitely ask for more. If food came put a little quicker this place would certainly be 5 stars.
Happened to be visiting Croton today with my cousins we felt for some seafood and saw great reviews from a Touch Of Class which was 15 minutes away. We entered the restaurant and was greeted by a friendly waitress. We ordered the escovitch shrimp as an appetizer and escovitch snapper, seafood stew and tuna dish for entrees. It took a little while for the food to come out, however all I can say patience is a virtue! We tasted each others dishes, every dish was amazing! The seasoning was authentic, the portions are sizable, and the presentation was artistic and very decorative! The chef knows what he is doing and we can’t wait to go back to try the other dishes from this nice little restaurant. Kudos to the chef!
Food was very good. Jerk chicken is quite spicy so be prepared. Pumpkin bisque was excellent. Coconut shrimp was to die for. The owner is very personable and his daughter who waited on us is very sweet. Will definitely return.
The food here always meets my expectations and more! Chef Mo came out and greeted us, he and his staff even sang happy birthday to the birthday girl and gave her a delicious cheesecake beautifully detailed! FYI You will have to wait a bit maybe more than expected, however it is totally worth the wait. This is one of those authentic places where you don’t mind the wait because the chef is carefully preparing the food and adding the number one ingredient Love ! You can literally taste it! Enjoy
I recently went on a weekend getaway to Beacon and I was so nervous about finding good food. Touch of Class was the first restaurant we went to and I was SHOOK. Food was very good! The restaurant was completely empty which I am not used to being from NYC but it certainly isnt because of the food. The homemade salsa with plantain chips made me raise my eyebrows to such an unusual pairing at a West Indian restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the 1/4 jerk chicken and it was delicious as was the coconut polenta that I paired it with! SO delicious and while I don't think Ill be in Beacon every again, Im quite happy with having dined at this gem
