Due to snowy conditions I couldn't make my itinerary and therefore my night at L'Estive. Arriving in the morning the next da,y the owner was so friendly to offer me a full breakfast after only having wired a small deposit in advance. No cancellation hassle, just understanding and friendliness, much appreciated. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet

Too expensive for what it is. The road is in front of the gîte and the price is the same as in the mountains supplied by helicopter. Meal not really homemade, served on the plate (low quantity if you are vegetarian). Place a bit shabby but above all moderately pleasant staff. Let's say that it's not because of the passion of hikers that this gîte welcomes people. No credit card on site. Frankly, I do not recommend. Rooms: 2

Lovely and warm staff, they opened early to serve us. Lots of good advice for hikers. Great desserts.
