Johnny's Grill - Pembroke

My husband and I walked in around 1 in the afternoon. Immediately it seemed as there was tension in the atmosphere. The waitress said sit any where. We ordered hamburger steak w/gravy and onions, mash potatoes and field peas. While waiting for our food the waitress brought our check before our food. (I'm glad we didnt want more or even desert)The hamburger steak was good, the onions were fresh, the brown gravy was instant gravy. The field peas were ok yet the mashed potatoes were instant and dry with NO seasoning. The sides were served in Styrofoam bowls. That instant lunch was $15 a person w/2 drinks.Our food waited in the window longer than it should have so our waitress could put chairs on empty tables. The 2nd waitress started to bring us our food but then the phone rang so she left it there to go get the phone lol.Not 1 time did we see any employee smile or even ask us if we needed any refill or how our food was.We will NEVER return there for their instant, and non friendly meals.

My chicken fingers were cold. When I told the wait staff, they just said sorry. Did nothing to correct it or ask if I would like fresh ones. At least the fries were hot.

Great food. The place is clean, but has no theme or personality. But the most important thing is food. Prices were good, service was great!

Excellent service. Food was very good and prices were reasonable.
