We haven't been to cayennes yet. the food was great and would go back to the final! my niece and great niece to dinner that made the experience that much more fun! tere
Let me first say that the hostess has canceled my reservation after sitting on a table. our waiter took our order for drinks and he brought them to a time with delays in between. then he took our food order for handicraft tacos and street maize. we have already eaten here and the tacos were great and the street corn special. after a 20-minute waiting period to hear the extremely loud music, he finally brought our dinner. I had the Asian thun fish tacos and the marinated brisket tacos. both were overcooked and tasteless. the road was cold. we flew our waiter and told him about the cold mais, and he agreed to bring more. When we arrived, we were done with our tacos. the waiter disappeared and we could not get water anymore and order more drinks. we could finally catch him up for one after the food. it seemed that this restaurant was more attentive to the tables order more drinks, but not eating. we will not be back.
This was our first visit to cayenne and it really became one of my favorite restaurant experiences. the staff was helpful, funny and seemed like they liked their jobs and each other. the service was fast and attentive, the environment was warm and visually interesting, and the food drinks were for to die! we had so much fun to eat here and we will definitely come back soon.
We’ve always enjoyed the food at Cayenne even though the service is not always up to par. Unfortunately, this experience was a total disappointment. My enchiladas were barely warm throughout and I should have said something but didn’t after the second bite of my husbands tacos produced a long hair….not his! The waiter offered to have it remade but my husbands appetite was ruined and refused. Just as I was finishing what I could eat of the enchiladas, the waiter returned and offered another round of drinks on the house….assuming it was for the hair. We know stuff happens but the incident should have been handled immediately by a manager apologizing and asking us how they could remedy the situation. Three stars on overall rating comes only from the hostess seating us who made sure to mention a possible squeaking noise coming from the wall fireplace when we asked to be seated there.
