Avaliação da contribuiçãoI?m going to start by saying? I lived in Japan for 2 years. My husband and I have had some of the best sushi probably in the world. While we realize this is the Midwest we still want a sushi fix on occasion. My husband used to go to Sushi Ko all thetime and he loved it, however, over the years quality has changed?and not because we?re sushi snobs! We?ve been there about 3times in the last 6 months with high hopes that the last time was a fluke. It?s been pretty terrible every time. The sushi riceseems undercooked and not sticky. One of the items I ordered did not come out as described on the menu. Edamame pods were halffrozen in the middle of the bowl. The kicker for me? the rolls with crab were not only made with imitation crab but the crabpieces were still wrapped in PLASTIC inside the rolls. So not only did the roll fall apart but I found myself peeling theplastic out of the roll. Really really bummed but this is not our sushi spot in Peoria.
We went to dinner today, Sunday and Mother's Day. They were very busy with customers and orders to go. Even faster service and friendly staff. The food was delicious and the quantities were great. We have just added this restaurant to our list of favorites in Peoria.
One of the best cheaper ones in Illinois. Comparable to sushi 9 down in Texas (if you know, you know). Their brown garlic sauce about blew me out of my chair.
The best in town! I frequent this restaurant a lot! Staff is very friendly and always wants to make sure the customer is happy.
Great service, good food, but the white rice wasn't so sticky. Our sushi fell apart as we picked it up off the plate, but it did have great flavor. Ask the sushi chef for an authentic Japanese ice cream sandwich!
