Avaliação da contribuiçãoWould give six stars if I could. The pasta was amazing so much flavor and texture. The eggplant appetizer was unreal. I loved that it felt like I was a having home cooked meal. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. I also drank beer with my pasta!!! Can't wait to go back
Have a 5 star meal in a local bar. Kevin gave us great service. I had leg of lamb that was as good as it gets. My husband had a perfect pasta meal. Even the cocktails are top notch. Can’t wait to go back.
Would’ve been a 4 but had a service issue. So we started with the fried Burrata and meatballs as appetizers. The burrata was good but was a tad cold when it arrived. Meatballs were VERY good. For entrees we went with the Garganelli w/ Sausage (pasta in a blush sauce with sausage some kick) and Tagliatelle w/ Filet (pasta in a cream sauce with Truffle oil and Filet medallions) Both VERY good. After our dinner … that’s where the service issue occurred. Before closing out our tab, we ordered 2 desserts, Creme brulee cheesecake and the Lemon marscapone cake. The order was taken and our bill was paid and then we sat and waited literally 30 mins+ for our dessert. We never saw our original server again, and had to stop other staff members on 2 occasions to remind them of the outstanding food. I’ve never waited so long to be served … even at the real fancy restaurants where they want to draw out the experience. So basically after the bill was paid, they forgot about us. We finally just asked that they give us the desserts to go. Which they finally did. We got out of there and ate them at home, again both really good. I chalk the delay up to a Saturday night and they were just bizz. But seriously, anyone would've been annoyed. So in conclusion, yes, the food is very good. Best Italian in the city? Not sure about that, but it’s probably up there and the prices are beyond reasonable. Good old school Fishtown bar vibe with good food. Some drawbacks Cash only, tight seating and good luck with parking. The area is bumping and you have to find street parking which is tough. But give it a shot.
Murph’s is by far my favorite place to eat in fishtown. The pear dish is the best!!! We try to eat here once a week. They always have amazing wine the goes amazing with each dish they have. They will even make butter noddles for my son when we come. The staff is super nice and always remembers my order. The deserts are always on pint. The best time is to go for dinner is EARLY! They get slammed so fast! Definitely worth the wait.
I've been to Murph's a few times, and I've never been disappointed. The menu is small but well-curated, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The pasta dishes are my favorite, and the pear and cheese fiocchi is my go-to. The pasta is perfectly cooked, and the sauce is rich and flavorful. The pears add a touch of sweetness, and the cheese makes it all come together. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they really know their stuff. They're happy to make recommendations, and they're always willing to answer any questions you have. Things to keep in mind The restaurant is small, so it can be crowded at times. The restaurant is cash only.
