Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe came here on a whim and ended up having a great time. After floundering with our original game picks, Wesley (I think) asked us a few questions and picked out the perfect games for us. We ordered some coffees and played a few rounds and it was the perfect pick me up in the afternoon. We were just visiting Philly for the weekend, but kept talking about going back before we left. Highly recommend (with a reservation)!
It was fun and something different to do on a date. I met a few friends down there not really knowing what to expect and when the game master came over and asked us what we like and what we didn't like when it comes to board games he returned with a massive list that he created for us like a wine sommelier. He had ones for you if your party wants to talk or just flat out play games. The food was not the highlight of the night but it was certainly was a great time, they even had some wizarding cocktails.Vegetarian options: Not a vegan but my friend said it was good
One of the best places in the city to go out to. N AND gay-friendly. Excellent place to meet people and play board games.Kid-friendliness: Been there twice only but I’ve always seen kids.Parking: Depending on the day, you might be able to find street parking easily. There are a few lots nearby if you don’t mind walking.Dietary restrictions: Excellent place for vegans.
What a FUN idea! Loads of board games are located on shelves for you to choose from yourself or you can ask a Game Sommelier to pick some for you to choose from. I suggest that you have the Game Sommelier ask you questions regarding games you like and see what they bring to your table. You may find your new favorite game! Some cool Japanese style seating is available, along with a couple bar chairs and some regular tables. You pay $7/person to play the games. Food drink just add to the experience.Street parking
Queen Rook is a wonderful place to spend time with friends. It’s a welcoming atmosphere with exceptionally friendly staff and a huge library of games. They have loads of events weekly and a great community to get in with. On weekends they even have game sommeliers to recommend a perfect game for your mood and teach you how to play. The bartender made me a drink that changed my perspective on rum cocktails (undead gentleman). And food wise, definitely recommend the fish tacos or the nachos. Everything is vegetarian or vegan so rest easy if you’ve got dietary restrictions. The place is awesome, so check it out. Best make a reservation though, it gets pretty busy these days!
