Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis place is amazing! The food is phenomenal with so many different options and the staff is always very kind. Would recommend 1000% if you are looking for something quick and a good price that’s absolutely delicious!
Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you, this is hands down the best Mexican food in North Central Phoenix. Very flavorful and not overly salty. I got the red Chile chicken flour tacos, husband got green Chile beef crunchy tacos. Good portions. You get to choose your taco toppings as well. I'll definitely be back. Pro tip: mild is pretty spicy at this place, so be careful if you are sensitive to heat. ?
Before you judge me, my reviews are all based upon the notion that context is key. Is this the best taco or burrito in the universe?? Possibly not. But is it a fantastic TACO STAND type option when you're craving something closer to the real Mexico Mexican fast food thing than your local Chipoodle? Well then, hell yeah it's a fantastic option to scratch that itch. The refried beans are actually refried, you can watch them refry them right in front of you, one of my photos even shows it happening in real time. You're not getting that kind of flavor from boiled pouch beans at other joints. Also, the marinated onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, and various actually spicy (not just white people spicy) salsa options are great. My personal favorites are street tacos with regular carnitas (pork), corn tortillas w a little cheese melted in it while it's cooking on the flat top, add some cilantro, marinated and raw onions, cotija, topped with some green sauce and a touch of crema, and damn it's satisfying. Craving it right now and if it were a 24 hour joint I'd be there while typing this. It's craveable... and that's how I judge these types of things. They have the horchata and Mexican coke as well. Another great option is the loaded Carne asada nachos. Fair notice, ask to try anything that might be spicy, like the red carnitas or the deceptively mild looking cilantro cream sauce, as they are definitely not for the milder folksThe service has always been authentic, easy going, chill folks working the flat top and register.Atmosphere is actually great for what it is. Lots of interesting lucha libre/ luchadores masks and photos on the walls, which is a nice cultural touch and makes for non-boring visuals. Place is kept clean. Again, in context, it's not an operating room or fine dining. There is enough seating to reasonably accommodate enough folks to where if you do want to sit and eat a quick lunch, you'll likely have the room to do it without much hassle or wait. All around I've never had a bad experience with the food, people or place so that's a win and since I regularly crave it (at least once a week) then I consider that cinco estrellas.
I’m from Tucson Arizona and I have tried just about every Mexican food restaurant there is down there. I really thought that I knew the best places but this is quite literally the best. The chicken Tinga and green chili chicken are the best. Had two tacos with beans and rice, salsa, and cilantro lime sauce.I would recommend this place to anybody .in addition to that the staff are extremely friendly and nice. I will definitely be back to try more.
Really good Mexican food. Fresh and the right level of spice! Enchiladas were superbFood: 5/5
