Southern Rail - Phoenix

What a wonderful restaurant so sorry to see it close. Classic southern foods with flair! Delicious fried chicken and so many other wonderful dishes will be missed.

Southern Rail was consistently one of the top restaurants in Phoenix. It is truly unfortunate that it has closed. The employees deserved more than just a 3-day notice before Christmas. Despite this, the food was always amazing and the service exceptional. We will definitely miss this fantastic restaurant. Unfortunately, Becketts Table does not compare. If Southern Rail had been in a better location, I believe it would have lasted even longer.

I had driven by here several times and wanted to come, but had not gotten the chance to and my sister surprised me with late dinner here. Let me tell you, the place is clean, the menu is simple, the food is delicious the dessert is incredible. I was not a fan of the enchiladas but for the rest of our order, I am a fan of them. Golden beat pear salad Grilled prime flat iron steak Seared organic Scottish salmon The beignets I can just go order to bring home. They were so good. For me, it is a bit pricey but with no doubt I would come back. It is worth it!

Why is this place so empty on a Sunday? Food was very good, very nice menu selections. Service was also very good. Friendly and attentive.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is charming and incredibly calming.
