Ausflugsziel Sonnenalm - Pichl-Preunegg

An absolutely gorgeous building in the most stunning location we were lucky to get such a beautifully clear day, not a cloud in the sky! The staff were fantastic incredibly friendly and made you feel instantly comfortable. He came and chatted to us...in excellent english (with my shameful lack of skill in german and told us lots about the local area and even brought over puzzles and games. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, with some fantastic local dishes served. Highly recommend! NB If you are intending to drive, the dirt track up is not for the faint hearted and is quite hard to find (don't rely on google maps it takes you the wrong way coming from Schladming. Head to Mandling and ascend from there Any small cars will probably struggle. However I've read reviews of them coming to pick people up half way down the mountain, which is easy to believe considering how helpful they were! This would be a fantastic place to stop mid-walk, which we intend to do before we leave. Don't miss out if you are in the area!

I read the reviews on TripAdvisor and told my family we had to visit here for lunch. The friends we were hiking with are from Germany and had decided the same thing on their own. We were nit disappointed. Reviews are spot on. Great location,...friendly people and good, reasonably priced food. We hiked down from Rittenberg from the top to bottom with this as our lunchbreak.

Sind jedes Jahr ca 35 Personen (Freunden und Kinder) dort.Toller Service, Wahnsinnige Ausstattung (Whirlpool Outdoor), Chef und sein Sohn musizieren, sind auch toll zu Kindern. Echt genial dort!

Wunderschöner Blick von der Terrasse, leckeres Essen in großen Portionen, freundliche Bedienung -hier stimmt einfach alles !

Wir sind durch Zufall an die Sonnenalm geraten...ein leckeres Essen am Abend sollte es sein! Was wir bekommen haben war nicht lecker...es war fantastisch!Auch "Sonderwünsche" (vegetarierin und allegisch auf zwiebeln) wurden sehr lecker, im Form von gegriltem Tofu mit sauleckeren Bratkartoffeln, umgesetzt!Hier wurde sogar drauf geachtet, dass auch sonst keine Zwiebelgewächse benutzt wurden! (Keine Verständlichkeit in anderem Restaurants)Die Gastgeber kümmern sich persönlich um jeden Gast.Ein "Restaurant" wo man mit Handschlag und Schnäppchen begrüßt wird hatten wir bis jetzt auch noch nicht.Wenn wir das nächste mal in der Region sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!P.S. nicht von der Straße verschrecken lassen...das muss so sein ;-)LG aus Wuppertal
