Was very surprised and pleased with the taste and the quality of the meal. Best enchiladas Ive ever had anywhere.Very impressed with this resturants cooking skills. Very yummy and will be back. I highly recommend this place. Also for theprice I got three enchiladas rice chips and sour cream lettuce quacamole lettuce and salsa. Very filling meal. Was only a littleover 9 bucks.
I was actually traveled to this spot for the korean food next door. They were closed on tuesdays and i needed to make miles. So i hopped in to grab some food. Let's start with the chips and salsa. Like 99% of mexican restaurants. Corn tortillas chips. Idislike stale, crumble, little handful of chips. Here i received fresh, still warm chips. not soggy with oil. Not burnt. Notstale. They make their own chips and none of mine were screwed up. Think about that. when was the last time you went to amexican restaurant. And you were given good chips. I got that here. Many chain restaurants screw that up as well. This placeisnt big and it sure had that mom and pop place feel. Now for the salsa. Good. I know how they made it. and it looked fresh. iworked briefly for an (on the border) chain. Salsa and chips were similar. Nothing odd about the salsa either. Meal, well inormally get stuff like chimi chicken. Or fajita two meats. I picked up a couple street tacos. Which were good. And a chickenbreast meal. Excellent. Food. The wait staff. Well I was taken care of pretty fast. with out people jostling me hovering orfeeling like i was being watched. or ignored. I wasn't really in the mood for mexican food. Next time i am in savanna Georgia.i will return here even if i have to drive out of route, To do so. Getting this good of an experience. Makes it worth while.
I recently moved to town from Texas and decided to try this restaurant for lunch with a coworker. The chips and salsa were fantastic, which made me hopeful that lunch would be great. However, I ordered the Chile Relleno, and it was very disappointing. The batter was greasy, likely due to the oil being too low, and instead of Monterey Jack cheese, they filled it with a runny queso. It was an absolute mess! I'm sorry, but any Mexican restaurant worth its salt should know better than that.
I decided to explore some new spots in my neighborhood, and this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It wasn't crowded, which I appreciated. I ordered the chicken chimichanga with queso on the side, and I found the food to be quite tasty. I've noticed that many places tend to smother burritos in queso, which is quite different from what I'm used to in the Midwest. Now, I prefer to have it on the side so I can enjoy it with my chips and salsa instead. The seasoned beans that came on the side were also good. I had a strawberry margarita that seemed to be pre-made, but overall, both the food and service were enjoyable.
Great food. It's a family-owned and operated restaurant. The owners are wonderful people.
