Surfside Seafood - Port Hueneme

I had the best fish and chips I've ever tasted here. Every bite was a delight! I stumbled upon this place while at the beach, completely unaware of where I was headed. The menu features a fantastic selection of seafood, including shrimp, crab, lobster, scallops, calamari, mussels, oysters, and of course, fish. It’s a fun spot to relax outdoors with beautiful sea views and live music. They also serve Dole Whip, which I once waited over an hour for at Disney—so it’s a treat to have it here! I truly love everything about this restaurant and will definitely come back. My only concern was that it felt a bit pricey.

The fish and chips were quite tasty and delicious. The coleslaw was decent, although I enhanced it with the malt vinegar available at the condiment counter. I tried a sip of my sister's margarita, and it was also excellent. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's conveniently located right next to the pier, making it a lovely spot for a stroll after your meal. On Wednesdays, they feature live music, which was absolutely outstanding! They played a wonderful selection of songs.

This is our go-to spot for fish and chips paired with a cold beer. Although it’s a bit off the beaten path, the peaceful beach, large pier, and exceptional fish and chips make it worth the trip. We typically visit in our RV, and there’s always ample oversized parking available at a reasonable price. Pro tip: the regular fish and chips are surprisingly much better than the pricier halibut!

The image is the butterfly shrimps and fried shrimps. The food was fresh and good. Sits on/on the beach. You can see the beach directly above the glass wall and short walk to the water. The toilet for the restaurant is the beach public toilet, which is the building directly on the other side of the glass wall in. Wednesday evening had a live music, good.

The food has always been great. I went with my husband today and was concerned about what I would eat as a new vegan. They made me vegan tacos that were INCREDIBLE. They added extra veggies and things that were not on their original tacos. This means a lot to me because they wanted to make sure I had a great meal and a good experience. They went above and beyond and made me feel special. They should definitely put vegan tacos on the menu. Thank you! Highly recommend!
