Whalebone Wharf - Port Macquarie

Our meal tonight was amazing, it has to be the best seafood meal we have ever had, the seafood platter was exceptional and so fresh. The waitresses were both very lovely and could not have possible done anymore for us. If you are looking for a great seafood meal this is the palace to go. Will definitely return the next time we visit Port Macquarie.

Have been eating at this restaurant for 16 years now. Never fails to impress. The food, service, views are fantastic!!! Had lunch there with friends today. Started with Champagne Lychee Cocktails - to die for! Followed with delicious grazing plate - dips, hot bread, pickles, olives in garlic and olive oil. Next we had the baked whole snapper - what can I say - it was "perfection on a plate". 2 excellent bottles of cab sav! Then to finish, Frangelico Affogato!! Yvette, the gorgeous young lady , who tended to our every need, was lovely - efficient, warm, professional etc.

Had driven past this place on a number of occasions but didnt realise it was one of the best eateries in the area. I enjoyed the chowder and my friend could not speak more highly of the whole snapper. Lovely views, outstanding service. Couldn't fault it.

We had the scallops (4) with a glass of white wine and fish of the day.(Plenty of it) with a Premium beer. The lunch was excellent and I would highly recommend it to any one visiting the Port Macquarie area.There was ample parking at the restaurant. The restaurant is situated about 5ks out of Port.

This was my favourite restaurant since moving to Port Macquarie but not anymore. Last Saturday we took our daughters for lunch who are in their forties. The waitress immediately greated us asking if we would like a champagne cocktail with a lychee and strawberry in it. That was the biggest rip of I have ever known, when the bill came it was $17.50 each. We had a large seafood bisce to share for an entree. The serving was very small. Our daughter had the seafood hotpot which was also very disappointing not what you would expect. Love this restaurant but will not be returning out of principle. We do not mind paying for good food but object to being ripped off.
